Does captcha make any difference....

Hello friends,,,,,

Actually i am doing a job that is online and i have to enter a code called as captcha after filling each form. I think everyone knows about this verification code , but recently I got an idea that my mizila firefox autmatically loads that captcha for me and I no need to enter that verification code again and over again.................that captcha isn't any kind of specific password but just only a verification code.
BUT I JUST ONLY WANNA KNOW THAT IF I AM NOT GIVING CAPTCHA VERIFICATION CODE DOES IT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE WHILE COMPILE THAT REPORT FILE ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,infact that captcha is general that we while downlaoding a rapidshare's file or entering in any yahooo messenger's room.. but my firefox laods it automatically ,,,,,
please tell me what the hell is this captcha for??
and does it make any difference?

It's meant to load a different CAPTCHA image each time. that way firefox won't "remember" it because it's a different code.
