I have 4 GB of DDR3 memory. My mobo can take a maximum of 12 GB. I've been told it's unnecessary to purchase more than I have now unless I am doing video rendering and playing games with a high-end video card that requires a lot of memory, neither of which I do. I have the fastest broadband internet connection that AT&T U-verse offers, but when I have several tabs open, everything slows down. Slow down, meaning just normal tasks such as typing in entry fields. I don't know if that has to do with not enough bandwidth or if more RAM would help. Please let me know what the lag is caused by in most cases when several tabs are open.
Thanks!
