Does this means I am going to change a new monitor?

Hi there,

I am using the monitor for quite some time, and I have found that the monitor flicker sometimes. During system startup, sometimes the colour of the screen faded sometimes the colour goes back again. Does that means I have to change a monitor?

If it happens only during the startup then what's the problem?
Mine flickers too during startup due to the 50 Hz refresh. But after entering windows the refresh rate changes to 85 Hz and everything is fine.
