Does WinXP 32-bit work with Core 2 Duo?

windows 32-bit will run on 64-bit machines just not using the 64-bits so ulll be fine in fact its easier to use 32-bit as 64-bit has some compatibility issues

The compatibilty is with the software (XP 64Bit Edition), on a hardware level it works fine.

yea, the 64-bit version isnt worth it yet. There are still MANY bugs that need to be fixed, that and alot of drivers for hardware arnt capatible. So the 32-bit version is the best to use right now, but sooner or later the 64-bit version will become the main thing.

64-bit processors are backwards compatible with 32-bit applications... but 32-bit processors are not forwards compatible with 64-bit applications...

for example, though windows xp 64-bit is 64-bit, many other applications installed on the hard drive wouldn't be 64-bit.
