I have two computers that are having similar problem at the moment.
They won't boot on the first time. I have to shut it down and hit the power button again all the time. Any body know why this is happening?
I am not sure about the spec on rig #1. I can look it up but all I know right now is that it's running on some sort of Pentium 4 cpu and Biostar MOBO. this one -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138262R
I rebuilt it using parts from an old computer. I have to power it up twice to boot and restart is not working either. (I have to shut it off and power up again)
and rig #2. It is running on Asus P5W DH Deluxe, E6600, Seagate SATA HDD, etc. I moved all the parts from a case to another. CPU, heatsink, Ram stayed on its MOBO but I had to disconnect and reconnect GPU, HDD, PSU, and all other components. and... now they are in a new case, and won't boot on the first time. It never happened before.
I am not 100% sure but it seems like hard drive is not turning on first 'power'. Anybody know a possible reason to this? and maybe a solution?
