Hi!
I have XP Pro, SP2 on all my computers, and server 2003 standard for the server.
I'm trying to figure out how to configure a new computer onto my domain. I gave it a new username and password through active directory, and set it up to be on the domain. It's connecting perfectly. The only thing is that according to default settings, it created a new user folder inside c:\docs&settings, when I want to access the Administrator account through this username/password.
A friend of mine helped me set up the domain a while back, and these are the folders inside my own computers' documents and settings folder:
administrator
administrator.DOMAINNAME
MYDOMAINUSERNAME
All Users
Default User
I'm supposing that I actually log into MYDOMAINUSERNAME, and get the "administrator.DOMAINNAME" desktop.
Can someone shed some light on whether this is the intelligent (or only)way to go about accessing my administrator account while still being on the domain? And how would i go about re-enacting it?
