Is that a 'budget' number on what you want to spend, or what you ended up with?

Honestly... for that video card, I think your wasting your money. Its like $700+ man... thats a lot of money.

I could buy 70 cases of beer with that.
Or 140 meals at chipotle.

If you step the card down - just a little - you could save 200-400 bucks. But if you really want it....

You know in a year that card will be half that price or less.

Plus you could take that saved money? And buy a better CPU with it

What the point of $700+ card when CPU is only $200 ?

You got an aspire case... they are great but did you read reviews?

Almost ALL people have problems with their power supplies - they blow

I just got mine, and I have to buy a new PSU. Mine drops below 10 volts every minute, and shuts down sometimes.

Plus your video card gonna need a lotta power.

My vid card was $120 and I run BF2 at 1024x768 with EVERYTHING on high. Smooth as butter. Thats all I need. I happy.

These are just my opinions.

I can respect dat.

But I am more conservitive sometimes. I got the comp in my sig (minus monitor) for under a grand, and its a nice blend of power here, power there.

I went from GeForce MX440/64 to 6600GT/256 and I am so happy I have THAT. :D

I do think you can do better on the chip though.

And I do think, you should also pick out a Cooler Max power supply to replace the Aspire one; like I am now; AFTER I have all these problems. :(

Just my 2c :)
