don't know password..

Hi, I was trying to network a computer of an unfamiliar operating system but mistakenly reset the settings to the administrators username and password which are completely unknown (the seller did not supply origignal password).


I have no idea what to do now. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
Do you know what the OS was, thats a bit of a big thing not to know. We probably cant help if you dont know it, could be MAC, Windows, Linux (any distro).
 
it wouldnt be wondows because he said its unfamiliar, and to even the most dimwitted incividual, wnindows IS recognisable.
 
Possibly IBM's OS/2. It would help if the poster of this thread actually returned with any info, i mean cmon, didnt leave that much to go on, every OS is built diferently and im not going to go through the steps to recover passwords on every single one......
