don't know what i need to download! HELP

right now, i'm having a few problems. i can't see : animations [such as animated avatars and smilies on other forums], http://www.topshop.co.uk, picture slideshows on msn spaces and imageshack photos don't load for me unless i go to the specific URL. now, i'm pretty sure that the first three are related because i had this problem last year and when one cleared up, they all did.
any suggestions of things i can try? i'll try anything. oh, and my 'play animations..' option in advanced internet options is ticked.

i wouldn't really like to change, mainly because i know that this problem can be resolved without using another browser but i just don't know how to fix it! lol, but thanks for the suggestion.

I just meant try to see if it will work on a different browser and if it does or doesn't that could help you to fix it.

have a look in your browser settings and try setting all the defaults in the advanced section
