Don't know what to do anymore

Hello guys,

A couple of weeks ago my PC crashed and I haven't been able to properly turn it back on again ever since.

So one night my pc has around 18 updates, and gets stuck on the 12th update for around 45 minutes, so I decide to cut off the power, since my pc makes quite some noise and I wanted to sleep. The next day I turn it on again, but only a black screen apears and nothing happens. The weird thing is, all the fans in the case start spinning, and even some white text pops up on my screen (think something about Nvidia, my GPU) but then a quick '0033' shows up in the right bottom of my screen pops up and then the screen goes black (the screen usually goes to standby when there is no input, but now it doesn't, so there is something still giving it an input).

So I called a friend to come over and check it out, since he knows about computers. He comes over, and decides to check out if VGA connection still works, since I've been using DVI connection, which plugs into my external GPU, and a VGA cable plugs into my Built in GPU on my motherboard. Now, my pc pc does start up, and I can get into the Bios and even reach the desktop, no problem. So we assume that is is my videocard which is causing this problem, it is broken.

So today I decided to pick up a new videocard, even a better one than my old one, and I go to another friends house to get it all set-up, since I'm to afraid to start pulling on my GPU in case something goes wrong. He removes the old one, and plugs in the brand new one. And then, once again, a black screen at start up. He thinks it's just a problem in bios, so he plugs in the VGA (which connects to the internal motherboards GPU which is, for some reason, still properly working) and goes into bios and makes sure all settings are right.
He then plugs in the DVI cable again (which connects to my brand new gpu), but still, black screen.

He then checks if my ram is broken by using new ram, but that is not what is wrong. Then he plugs in the videocard into his own PC, and it starts up, so it is not the GPU which is faulty.

I just don't know what to do anymore, since basically everyone I know who knows something about PC's doesn't know what to do. My friend told me something might be wrong with my powersupply, or with my PCI connector, or even my entire motherboard, but he doesn't know for sure, he has never seen something this odd.

I hope that someone might be able to help me here, since I don't know what to do anymore.

My PC specs:
AMD Zambezi FX-4100 QuadCore
MSI 760GA-P43FX
8GB DDR3 Corsair Ram
Nvidia GTX650Ti 1GB (Broken GPU)
Gigabyte GTX 960 4GB (New GPU)
600 Watt Cooler Master powersupply

Thank you very much!

You did connect power cable from power supply to video card correct?

Yes, I plugged them in properly, I think I've tried it about 5 times so it's not that. It might be that my powersupply is broken, but the fans on the GPU do start spinning, so I don't know if that's the case.
Other people told me that my PCIE slot might be broken.

This is obviously an issue due to shutting
Off the of while it was updating. Strange things can happen. Pull the battery for a few minutes to reset the bios then reinstall Windows. Your hardware is fine.

I don't understand the logic some people follow with computer problems. The problem here is obvious.

Using your onboard video, go into the bios and make sure you have it checking the PCIe slot first on boot. Then try booting from the card.

Well sorry for not knowing everything about computers and panicking when my PC stops working properly.
I booted up my PC on VGA cable connected to GPU on motherboard and made a back up of all my files. Then I ran windows repair tool, but it has been stuck on 'searching for installation updates' for the past hour or so. Should I leave it running, or turn off my PC and try again?

Yes me and my friend did that, but that setting was already enabled. I tried running windows repair, hoping that a 'fresh' windows would fix my problems, but it is now stuck on 'searching for installation updates' for about an hour.
