dont know what vid card it is?

i got a video card from a friend (was free) 128mb pciexpres. I plug it in and xp dont have the driver. I dont know the viedo card from looking at it just a bunch of numbers. in system info it dont know it either. My frind does not know so how do i find the driver??? is there any tricks to point me in the right direction?

There's almost always something printed on the card somewhere that either says the model, or that can be traced to find it. Try searching on google using some of the codes written on the card. Sometimes you'll luck up and find them.

If all else fails, it's normally printed on the GPU(the chip) Remove the heatsync...but I don't suggest doing this unless you have more thermal paste you could reapply.

Yes, as the other one said, check the card itself and Google anything on the card that might identify it, usually works.

i think it may be a x600 radeon...not sure if its any good but im gong to try and install the driver
