Go through Yahoo! Small Business.. they give you the domain for free when you sign up for their web hosting, which starts at $12 a month for a decent amount of storage for a small site.

or you can get a site and route it to your house and set your own server up. although it is more risky since the hackers know your ip but if you have a good firewall you will be fine.

first off, you cannot route a site to your house. the only thing you CAN do is setup apache or IIS or whatsoever for hostng. then his ISP will map his IP to a domain. thats the ISp's work not ours
