Don't you just love the postal service...?

Both sides of the case had scruffs on it as if dropped hard, but that side was obviously dented. Obviously, stamping FRAGILE FRAGILE FRAGILE all over the top wasn't enough...

On top of that, the power supply was bad. It apparently worked before I got it. The damage was around the rear...does this go hand in hand?

Oh well, I'm not out of anything. The computer's up and running and now replaces my old PIII 733. Not a bad system, great for testing stuff... I've cleaned the inside out and repaired the damages as best I could.

P4 1.4GHz
128MB RDRAM
20GB HD
AGP TNT2 w/ 32MB
16" LCD(pictured with my laptop here...)

And yes...it's purple on the front :o The girl who gave it to me offered to send me the plates if she could find it. I told her not to worry...I think I'll be painting them soon :P

LOL yea... guess they just get tired of seeing the "FRAGILE" tag and it just turned invisible on them. lol.

i received my comp case a while back and the front acrylic face plate was cracked, not badly but still noticable. that was b4 i knew anyting about RMA. lol i just fixed it with epoxy...

did the package have insurence?
if so you could file a claim with the post office and they might pay for replacing the damaged stuff.

I think you made a typo in your title :)

Anyways, I so far haven't had any trouble with them, but maybe i just got lucky. Fedex...on the other hand, really banged up my P180B, probably cause it's so big and heavy =O.

hahah wow. This has happened to me so many times its unbelievable.

I just shipp everything and preferre to receive things through UPS now.

ups can mess up stuff to.

i had a GeForce 8800GTS come via ups that was squished hard enough to break a capaciter on the card in its box. damn there taking a long time with that claim.

One good thing about being a super-mod, you can cover up your tile typos

No insurance... I didn't expect anything to happen. I mean most computer cases are quite sturdy(this one is...just got knocked VERY hard). But even so, the computer was free; it was given to me for the cost of shipping.

From now on I'm going to request shipment from UPS. Besides, don't they automatically cover you for a certain amount. Once the value exceeds so much, they will charge you...or that's how I thought it worked... Whatever, their tracking system is better and overall, I've had better lucky with them.
