Doom 3 or HL2??

Well, I just love to make controvertial threads!:P

Anyway, which one?

Im going with Doom 3 for a couple reasons

1- Scary- I love a game which will make me jump, and Doom 3 did just that

2- Intricate story- The game has multiple PDA's, in-game cutscenes, video disks, and interesting characters. HL2 had what.... hmmmm.... besides some cool characters, nothing.

3- Varied gameplay- Doom 3 has you fight a variety of people, in Hl2 I felt i was fighting the same old things...

Those are the main reasons I choose Doom 3 over HL2. Sure HL2 was okay, it had good gfx, and playing "fetch" with dog wasa great time, but they really need to spice things up... those vehicle runs almost bored me to death.
 
i like half 2 a bit more as i have been a fan of the original half life waiting for the half life two to finaly come out and back then doom 1 and 2 didnt realy appeal to me so that why im putting it second as i wouldnt realy looking faward to it as much
 
I choose Half Life 2 but I'm not going into detail as to why as it's all personal preference.

u could always pm him instead of making a totally random comment in a thread. But i 2 prefer hl2 because i think its so cool the way they amke u use ur brain and some of the puzzles they make are awesome.

i voted for both.. just because both games have a great gameplay, great grafics and the best of all. they both have a really good plot :)
 
For me is Doom 3. Because I love the monster jumped out at your face and I love the teleporter. Its so freaking awsome.
 
i don't like them both because both of them.
doom3 has a good graphics but the game is so boring and it is all in dark
HL2 is also boring because u will fight every time the same people in every chapter + the game doesn't have a good story and the game is very straight.

i think older games like HL1, soldier of fortune 2, IGI2 and farcry have much better single player enjoyment than these both doom3 and HL2
