Doom Movie

Looks good

I have seen a different trailer as well. Anyway, I am definitely going to go and watch that in the cinema. It looks like a lot af action. However, trailers are often buffed up beyond recognition from the actual film. Let's wait and see.

JAN :D

I shall now ruin it for everyone who is not yet informed:

"it don't go well with game thought, and the sad thing is that the makers of doom3 helped make the move. . ."

"But yeah, in Doom-the-movie they're not fighting demons and there's nothing about a moon base or hell, it's just some dudes fighting aliens. They're just using the Doom name so the uninformed masses will go see it."

sry:(

I know that, but there are some similarities, like it actuall does take place on mars, and there are imps in the trailer, so its close enough for me. Can't wait.

How could you not like Doom 3?!?!?! I thought it was great. And please don't use the excuse that it was too dark, cuz that is what a scary game is supposed to be.. DARK!

Doom 3 never claimed to be a groundbreaking game in terms of storyline and unique innovations. It did claim to hold to true to its roots, so to speak, and give you a scare the shit out of you, shoot anything that moves experience. For what it intended to deliver, the game definately suceeded. Personally, I was not a big fan of the game, I like games that require a little more thought and have variety but I can give credit where its due and Doom 3, for the genre it was intended to be marketed for, was great. Now to the movie.....I have heard about it for a couple weeks now and just watched the trailer a minute ago. My take: looks like it definately has potential....that potential was just pissed down the drain when some genius decided the Rock would be the best candidate for that role.

doom 3 the game is cool, but I would think the movie shall be pants.

hollywood are just re-marketing dooms cult status into a moneyspinner.

anyone remember resident evil the movie.....cheesy IMO

who cares hollywood will just run a onther hyped up trailer on TV and people will flock to the cinemas only to be disapointed again.

most movies today are crap, over run with special effects that are not that special and lame actors.

most good movies I like were made 10-20 years back.

The original matrix was one of the most recent good movies I saw and thats dated now.

If doom has good actors in the chances are It will be good but if its people you aint heard of save your money, good actors take on good scripts.

pacino and de niro - pity they are getting old

all said and done, if my PC is broken and im flicking through the TV channels at 2am in the morning and channel is showing the movie I may watch it for 10 mins or so :)

history tells us this wont be a good movie IMO

hmmm... just took a look at the trailer : it does awfully remind me of "Resident evil" movie... let's wait and see.

sorry if you aint joking i guess me and you have different tastes in movies.

nothing personal but didnt you think the acting was lame and the script was well...lamer?

films like that make me cringe, 5 mins and there off for life.

btw i actually think the games are cool, at least the first one except for the doors opening and taking all day, the overall gameplay at the time was really good. As far as playstation games go anyways.

Mike, wtf you talking about? resident evil was such a good frikin movie, much better than the piece of crap games.

Dude, are you serious??? The movie was good, but not great. Have you REALLY played a resident evil game...... they scared the piss outta me. As for the trailer for Doom, the best part of the trailer is at the very end when it is in a first-person camera mode, and one of the dog-like things are in front of him, and he just revves the chainsaw, looks cool! :D
