Double Monitoring ...

I'm building myself a new pc, and I wanna have a dbl monitor setup. But I don't know what kind of a Video Card to go for.

Are you a gamer? Or are you simply going to use the card for the dual monitors?

Which GPU slot are we talking here?

If you wish too have Two Monitors working,

A Card made after 2006 should definitly have it.

It will have

a VGA Port

a DVI Port.

Then all you will need is too purchase a DVI - VGA Adaptor for around $7

I'm not a gamer. I'll be running simulations etc. on my computer most of the time. I might also watch movies with my computer every once in a while.

So my main purpose is to build a pc with HUGGGEEE computational power and a dbl monitor setup. I thought I'd get a Core2Duo for my cpu, 4G RAM, & 100G HD. I don't know what monitors to get and what Video Card to go for ... do I also need to consider a specific type(brand) of RAM?

anything that has dual DVI slots and supports it ? , but ya its awesome im doing it right now

You dont need Dual DVI ports.

Only higher end Monitors have Dvi Standard outputs.

Regular LCD monitors are generally VGA.

I think most of the new LCD monitors have DVI now...
Even on Dual DVI ports, he always can buy an adapor to fit to the old VGA anyway
