i run 2 monitors off my video card. this might be a dumb question, but, will having my video card displaying on both monitors affect my 3dmark scores? i have them in extended desktop mode, but whenever i run 3dmark, i disable the secondary monitor so the card can concentrate on one. is that really necessary or does it not make a difference?

Don't most games disable your secondary monitor? Either way, if both are going, I'm quite sure it would affect your score some what... Even in clone, I bet it would knock it down a few points. But extending your desktop is basically adding to your resolution. I'm sure you know you get better FPS with lower with higher resoultions :P

I would imagine there would be a TINY imapct, as the graphics card still has to put something on your second screen, even though nothing's actually happening.

I guess the impact would be similar to running Futuremark with, and without, solitaire open.

erm.. just a question... Why dont you just try it and see for yourself?

why don't you try and not be such a hole. i am on a 467mhz celeron right now until i get my new cpu. i just thought of the possibility that my second monitor may have some impact. there's no way for me to try right now. sorry for asking a question, but i thought that's what a forum was all about.

I think your video card might heat up twice since your using 2 monitors to load the video. no processor time is used to load the video.

He wasn't being a "A" hole. He was just asking a question being you didn't specify in your first post that you couldn't. Now please don't jump down my throat but why can't you try right now?
