Download Audio Video help.

Recently, I downloaded a few t.v. shows and they work fine except when I open them up in Windows Media Player, it plays only the audio but the video doesn't show up. I'm pretty sure there's something you can download to fix that problem but I can't remember what it is, nor am I familiar of how to do it. Can someone please help?

I've had this problem multiple times. And most of the time, its just the wrong format. What type of file are you trying to play?

I'm not really sure. I clicked properties on the video and it says it's a video clip. But, the thumbnail says AVI on it. If that means anything.

Ah, AVI files. Fun. Well, I recommend using VLC player. Supports tons of formats- including AVI.

Thanks! I'm about to go to the site. What about if I want to burn it to a dvd? How do I go about doing that and it working?

Just saying: crappy or cheap DVD burners will result in a choppy, and freezing video DVD or something else.

I recommend Nero, or PowerDVD, I haven't used much else.

Also, I would say go with freeware... but as oscaryu1 said, cheaper or low end burning software usually doesn't turn out very well. Bad quality picture, or it can turn out choppy when burning videos. There can be numerous problems with off brand products. I'm not saying all are bad. Just be careful with what you buy, or download for free.
