I'm looking for a download manager for my computer so I can stop a download and finish them latter. I need this because Ihave dial up at home but i want to download big stuff like linux distros at school.
 
I know we at this forum say this too much but what the hey, try firefox. It has a good download manager, that has quite a few functions that include carrying on with downloads :)

I do use firefox is that an extension or dose the normal one do that.

Here's an awsome FREE download manager i've been using for a while. http://www.freshdevices.com/freshdown.html You have to renew your license every 30 days i think to keep using it but its not hard to do and deffinitly worth it.

Baicly I want to usr it on my laptop whenever i'm in a hot spot since i have dial-up.

It allows you to stop restart and basically manage your downloads.
 
Thanks I'll look into them tomorrow I’m on dial-up so 1.9mb for me is like 3 to 5 minuets and I can't do anything online when I do download.
 
what download manager do you guys recommend, it doesn't have to be free, i wanna buy some but don't know what is the best on. thx
