download the system restore cd?

can i download the system restore cd or whatever it is that i need to have so that i can format everything and insert it and continue with my computer at factory settings because my computer is kinda old and i went through a move and i dont have that cd any possible way to get it. or a similar one?

I want to know the exact same thing too? I need the installation cd to repair my operation system and would also like to know if I can just download the information and burn it on a disc?

Basically the restore CDs for PCs are supplied by the computer manufacturer. You'd have to contact them for info on pricing if they're still available. Other than that, you'll more than likely have to purchase new copies of Windows.

actually, i burned them on a program from my computer. it took eight disks. :::

start
all programs
name of computer make "hp"
model/name of computer "hp pavilion pc tools"
then "recovery cd creator"
