downloading screen savers to a disk

how can i download a screen saver to a disk and take the disk to my home computer and how do i know that it will install properly and besaved properly to the disk i will be using a public access computer?

usually a screen saver will only be one file with a .scr file extension. what you then do is copy it disk, take it to the other computer and put it anywhere, although c:\windows is where all the system screensavers are kept so putting it there is a convenience. then right click the file and click install.

Just beware, because many viruses have the extension .scr, so if you are not sure that the file is a screen saver, then don't ever try to take to your PC.
