Drive disappeared

Why does my hard drive disappear after resuming from sleep mode. When I restart its there. This is my 1st pc I've ever built. I'm running windows 7 Ultimate. Everything seems to work good except some small issues with sleep and hibernate. Just wondered why this disk is doing this though.

Hi do you mean that it's not accessible from "Computer" after resuming from sleep mode? Have you tried resetting your mountpoints2 key in the Windows Registry?
Please create a new system restore point by opening System Restore and clicking on "Create a Restore Point".

Open a Run dialog box and type this in : regedit
and press enter.

Now click on Edit ->Find and type in this : mountpoints2

and click on Find. Once the mountpoints2 key is found, press "Del" to delete it. Keep pressing F3 to find all other mountpoints2 keys and delete them.

Restart your system now, and then try resuming from sleep mode//
