Drive letters get swapped in windows 7?!

OK, i got a strange one fellas. My partition drive letters get swapped in windows 7, although the information on the partition doesn't get affected. I got dual OS, xp and 7.

XP>7
C > E, D > C, E > D

Was it this way after you installed Windows 7? Or did you remove a drive or partition?

It never happened when running XP. This is the first time i am facing such an issue with an operating system. I am worried it might damage my hard drive.

go to administrator, computer management, disk management and make the drive letters anything you want. I always put my DVD drives Y and Z so they remain the same no matter what changes I make with the hard drives.
