Drive mix-up

Yup, I don't know why the icon changed, but I know why your drives are H/I. Since you have so many hard drives, it has tho build on the letters, pushing the CD/DVD drives farther back. for example: If you had one hard drive and it was called C, and your DVD drive was D, then you go and add another hard drive, that hard drive that you added would take the role of being D, and the DVD drive would now become E. I'm not sure if this is fully correct, but it might be why your CD Drives are H/I.

I think those removable drives are from a card reader... i dont know why the icon changed, but if you think its a virus then scan your comp for viruses. Is there actually wrong with your hard drive (besides the icon)? if not, then i wouldnt really worry about it. You can try and change it by going to www.wincustomize.com and getting new icon packages, which might fix the problem.

skidude - I have a 3.5" card reader thingy with about 6 slots on, so it is probably that, any idea how to move them around? :)

geoff - As far as I know, there are no errors, although I havent risked a reboot yet ;) Ran a virus scan (or 5) to know avail, so I might just leave it for now :o

You can change the drive letter used by the CD-Drive by or your Card-Reader slots by going to...
Control_Pannel/Administrative_Tools/Computer_Management/Disk_Management
then in the bottom right window right-click the drive you want to change, and select "Change Drive Letter & Paths..." from the drop-down menu.
