Drive not reading a certain cd

hi, i have just got a pda and need to install the software on my dektop from the cd.

My drive recognises the disc but i can only open it by clicking on explore. In side there is a .exe file which i can run/open whatever i try.

When i put the same cd in a different computer is autoruns and goes straight into setup.

When i put a similar type of cd with autorun and .exe in the drive it autoruns it run.

WHY is it with this cd that it wont use it? Its driving me mad!
 
I'm not sure but it sounds as though there is no real problem here. You say that you can open up the cd directory and click on instal.exe right? you also say that other cd's autorun just fine?. Sometimes drives just do funny finicky things :). I would not worry about it much.
 
Same here.

Man I would see this as a problem really. You abviously have autorun enabled if other cds work. I would try and ignore it. I guess it has something to do in with the system not recognizing the autorun files. I do not see how you could fix that.
