Drive Won't Burn...?

Here is all the information I know:

1. The driver is a Sony DVD-ROM DDU1615
2. The driver can read CD-R's, and discs with information on it (e.g. Diablo II reads fine, any music CD reads fine)
3. When I try to burn with Discjuggler, or even simply iTunes, it says something like, "Driver not found", or "No compatible devices found".
4. The people at Best Buy fixed my computer when it was full of viruses, and they backed all the data up and whatnot.

I've tried this:

I uninstalled the driver and then re-started Windows, and it automatically re-installed itself.
Still didn't work.

Is there something I can install that will help? The last thing I want to do is spend a bunch of money just for a burner. Any ideas???

Ok, after I switch them out, do I need to do anything on my PC to get it to recognize it? Do I have to install anything?

No, I'm pretty sure the driver is generic and works for all. It should be perfectly interchangeable. Switching them out is just unscrewing, and unplugging two cables, very easy.

Oh, one thing I just thought of is the jumpers. You will want to have the jumper on master settings if it is on its own IDE cable, but if it is hooked up to your boot drive then it probably has to be on slave. You can always just fiddle and see what works though.
