Driver Failure, Blue Screen, Crazy Colors (AGAIN)

I just moved into my dorm at college and to my dismay something has gone wrong with my computer. At random time the screen bursts into crazy colors and weird square or patterns and then freezes the computer. After checking power cables and taking out and putting the video card back in the problem stopped for a few days. Now it has started again and i am starting to panic. Sometimes the computer freezes, sometimes it blue screens, and other times it recovers and i get the driver failure message on the task bar. I also notice that physically disturbing the computer by tapping on the side panel etc. causes the same thing to happen. PLEASE HELP ME IM SCARED.

I BOUGHT A NEW CASE AND REBUILT THE COMPUTER AND IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN :( I WANT TO CRY. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME :( :( :(
 
Did you use the standoffs between the case and motherboard? Are you sure you are seating the video card fully into the slot?
 
my previous case had standoffs, this new one had raised portions on the tray that act as standoffs, and yes i am certain it is fully seated
 
Then we can only assume at this point that its a bad video card. Can you try using a different one?

Hang on hang on. Those raised points - are you SURE they don't require stand offs?

Please post (as already asked) your PSU and Graphics card. This sounds like a power issue or a temperature issue to me.
