Driver Update = Fail

G'day guys, I'm new to the forums here and I'm hoping some of you guys will have the remedy to my problem. :D

Here's the deal:

I have a nVidia GTX 260 card right? Now I updated it to the 190.62 model and now Empire Total War does not play.

I have to launch Empire Total War (ETW) through Steam and before I updated it worked fine. Problem is, after I updated, it goes to the title screen with the patents etc and then CTD's without a windows error or game error etc.

So, I'm thinking it's the driver and I've been told one of my options is to "roll back" my driver... Now, I am not sure how to do this, I have found a instruction guide which is easy to read (http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=79325), but I don't know which driver to roll back to..

Also, I just saw that nVidia has released a new driver (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_191.07_whql.html) and I'm wondering if that will fix the issue?

Thanks guys, need any more info, let me know.

Download the new version and see if it fixes the issue. If not keep rollbacking the driver until you get back to the version you had that worked. Do that by going into device manager and right click on the video card and click on properties. Go to the driver tab and on the bottom you will see where it says rollback driver.

I did this, but I could only roll back one driver, so basically, back to the one that messed the game up. I just went and found an older driver called v186.18, I don't know if that will fix it.... LOL... So fun
