I didn't know there was such thing as a software program that searched your entire computer for drivers that were out of date, but apparently I've got a lot of out-of-date drivers on my computer.
I thought Windows Update took care of all that?
Anyway, I was looking for the driver that recognizes my Android phone when I plug it into USB. I downloaded what I thought was the driver itself. Turned out to be software that scans entire computer for out-of-date drivers. Then as I expected, I clicked "Update All" and it said I needed to purchase a license.
Is there such thing as a "scanner" that will scan your computer for all the drivers that are out-of-date? Because it seems to me when I go into Device Manager, and click on every solitary thing and click on "Update Driver Software", then "Search Automatically", every single time they come up as "Best driver has already been installed..." Not sure if that's Microsoft just relying on the drivers that work perfectly fine with Windows 7 or something else.
Even my Logitech G9x laser mouse needed a driver...Weird. Anyone know if there's a driver tool out there that can help me more than "Device Manager" manual updates?
