Hey, i keep getting this blue screen crash whenever i try to run bf2 demo, i've just build my computer and havent had any problems, except a faulty video card, but i got a replacement. apart from that i havent had any problems so far, and i have run the game before i dunno whats happend. i just updated my video card to the latest one and i still get the blue screen

help would be much appreciated,

Blue Screen Error:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

and when i restart the comp i get that "your computer have recovered from a seriouse error" and here is the details of it.

my specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3.00GHz
2.00GB of RAM
Albatron Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT 1G
Windows XP Home SP3
ASUS M3N78-VM
 
I googled it and here is what I found:

Someone flashed his bios, which fixed the error. Some other time, he removed a stick of ram, which fixed the error

thanks, i tried flashing the bios and removing one of the sticks of ram and it still does it...

only now i can like, get into the menu and stuff of the game, just when i click start to play it, it shows the loading screen for like half a second then crashes to the blue screen
 
ok i did it, and it didn't find any errors :confused: whats wrong itttt its only this game. maybe its an amd problem? i dunno ive played it before, but only once
 
its almost certainly a driver issue go look at the minidump it left and search for .sys and .exe in the file, that should help as my BSOD pointed to usbport.sys then the same error but pointed to tcpip.exe and i have a wireless usb reciever on my usb port and it was obviously that i swapped to different port reinstalled clean set of drivers and problem sorted.
 
your best bet might be to try difffernt games. you said it only gappens with THAT game, so there you go. If all else fails, I am saying you ought to try a windows re-install. Sucks, I know, but maybe it will fix the errors.
 
re-installing windows.... gayyy.... thats means i'll have to go all that trouble with registering it again.... i guess its only that game but if it starts doing it to other games i will reinstall windows
