Drivers help reinstalltion

hi, i recently had my compter treated badily and it appears it lost drivers for my ethernet card, unforunatly i dont ave the driv or cd and can not dowload it because i dont know the model, so can any help and tell me how i can restore those drivers !!!!!!???
 
you can use a driver update program that will tell you what driver you need then google it and get the driver
 
Is it onboard ethernet? if so just download them from your motherboards copmany website. Just look for the model of your motherboard which should be printed on the motherboard itself.
 
Hmm, well, the best option here, if it's a pre built OEM, you have the option of getting the detailed specs on another machine, and downloading/burning them. You can also call the manufacturer for a driver CD (costs $$$ if out of warranty). If you built your own machine, I guess you may have to get a cheap $9 card from a local electronics store, and install it. You can then have windows update automatically download the updates. At the very least, that new card would still work.
