driver's not installing - HELP!!!!

I've just bought a WLAN usb stick off ebay whic i need to download the drivers for from the internet.

When i tried to install these drivers i found that the driver update wizard will just not run!!

I have tried nearly every possible way of trying to solve my problem but have got nowhere

Please can someone help me?

Not sure of your Operating System but if you have XP with SP2 then drivers are not needed as it is self installing.

hi, i do have windows xp with service pack 2 however it will not install the driver. The problem is that the install diver troubleshooter wizard will just not open howver many ways there is to start it. is there a run cmd way to open it? I would very much appreciate any other suggestions as to how to fix my problem. Thankyou

Have u tried running it in compablity mode??
There is a possiblity that u have got an ancient driver.
Right click on the setup, select compablity mode, and check the 'run this program in compatible with' and select a version previous to ur current OS.
Not sure will it work, but its worth a try.
