Drivers when making own build.

When you buy a computer, the drivers usually come with it, but when you make your build, where do you get the drivers? Do you have to go to the companies site? Do they install automatically the first time you boot the PC?

thanks, and its sure they're all gonna be there?

manufacturers these days make sure they have the most up to date drivers but you can always find them on google/softpedia but am pretty sure you will get them on the manufacturers site

often times stuff like the motherboard, video card, sound card, etc, etc will all come with CDs containing the drivers needed.

but yea, will still need to goto the manufacturers website for updated drivers.

alot of times video drivers and sound can be found by just using windows update..i know its true with AMD drivers and X-Fi AND SOME VIDEO.

Just to add on, it's always good to update the drivers on any machine. And as others have said, you just go to the manufacturers webpage for the company that made your component(s), and download the latest drivers.

Before I build/re install i download all the newest drivers from the manufacture's website to my usb flash drive. that way I need to install the drivers I have all of them ready to use
