Dropped CPU!

Hey Guys, I'm a first time computer builder.. I was getting ready to do the stressful task of putting my CPU into my motherboard, and my girlfriend accidentally knocked the CPU onto the floor (while it was still in it's protective cover) .. I figure i'm probably over worrying myself, but I would like to know if you guys figure it's screwed?

Thanks!

No, like I said it stayed in it's package, and ended up landing gold side up! Also there is no pins on this particular CPU i noticed, it was gold contact points, the pins were in the motherboard itself, which didn't fall (thank jebus) :P

It's a Intel Core i5-4670k LGA1150. If that helps!

Yea, Intel uses LGA sockets now so no worry about bending pins anymore.

If Im not mistaken, I think AMD is still using PGA sockets. SMH..

Phew, thanks guys.... I knew I was probably over reacting.. but like I said, this is my first build, it feels like i'm assembling a nuclear device.

I can't RMA the girlfriend ... she makes me pie!

^Lol. :D I've actually dropped my Pentium E5200 before; I was pulling an Intel stock heatsink out of its box one day, and I completely forgot that I had put the CPU back in its little spot in the package. :o It still works fine, though; of course, that's if you don't count my suddenly unstable OC.
