Dropped External HDD

I dropped my 2tb hdd and I was able to recover basically all the data off it, even though the transfer speeds often dropped well below 1 megabyte a second.
Now I'm wondering what I do with this drive, when I transfer data to and from the drive it seems to perform normally, is it possible that the drive is perfectly ok or mostly ok with possible damage to areas?
Would seatools determine if I should trust the drive or should I cheack it another way?

I'd do a Seatools long scan and see what it comes back with. If it looks OK then you could probably put some disposable data onto it.

What do you get for a SMART report? Was it dropped while on or while off? When you observed the dip in transfer speed, was it just transferring a large amount of small files?

I will run seatools soon. It was dropped when turned on :( landing on the corner of the drive then flipping upside down, so maybe the platters weren't hit or maybe they were. Transfer dips were a little random, I think there was a dip in a large iso file and i remember one in a group of many small files.
