Dropped laptop, hd failed, replaced hd, possible recovery technique?

I'm going to try to plug the harddrive into a usb adapter and try to mount it and see if I can save any data. can anyone vouch for a reliable, cheap adapter? its a macbook pro sata laptop hd

Once a hard drive receives a hard knock and you cannot access data means it will be 100% stuffed to the end user.... unless you take it to a hard drive specialist who has the means and skills to retreive files.
