I think I can put my finger on the problem here, but I want to run it by you guys. My brother dropped the family laptop the other day and now whenever you turn on the pc it shuts off randomly (Could be a couple of minutes or a few seconds). It's a Toshiba Satellite. I think the problem is a bad hard drive, do you agree?

Looks like it was a bad battery. I removed the battery and just plugged the thing straight into the wall, and now it's all gravy ... no random shut offs.
