Drunk Laptop

I have a laptop that someone spilled vodka on. Does anyone know the best way to clean the mother Board to see if it will still work?
 
is it even broken?

if it doesn't work, you probably fried something electrical, in which case it's going to require more than 'cleaning'
 
I would give it time to dry out before turning it on. My wife dropped her cell phone in the toilet and it still works fine. Took about a week to dry out though.
 
i would try to download a manual for your computer, and try to take it apart and towel off any moisture. since vodka is high in alcohol, it should evaporate, so i would put a fan on it for a day or so, depending on how much was spilled. i assume you took out the battery and unplugged it, right?
 
I just got done stripping it down. Its not as bad as I thought. The Motherboard seems fine. Nothing stickie, or corroded.

The owner told me the drinking incident took place about two months ago. She couldn't tell me if it was on at the time or not. She also didn't know if anyone tried to turn it on since then.

I'm going to give it a quick cleaning and then put it back together and see what happens.

OH CRAP im drinking while im posting...and i usually get drunk while i game...oh well, im a professional, folks, dont try this at home
