DSL modem setup

I was given 8 Westel DSL modems over the weekend by a friend that runs a computer shop.

One was bad and I tossed it.

Six worked great.

The last is asking:

The server 192.168.1.1 at Modem Secure requires a username and password.


I tried leaving the ID blank and using admin as the password, but it didn't work.

All the lights work in order and I tried the reset but no luck that.

Any help to test it since I still use a simple DSL modem with LinksysN router for my internet?
 
Whats the model number of the modems? Login should be admin as username and then password for the password.
 
They are all Westell 6100

I have to change back to a working modem after testing the secure modem access again, and change back to test it again
 
You should be able to hold down the reset button on the back to bring it back to factory settings.
 
The reset doesn't work with it off. Did you press the reset button long enough? Hold it for 10 seconds.

I just tried to access the modem again and I got in to the part to change the user and password.

I typed admin and password, i thought it took it but it keeps comming back to the screen to change the password over and over again.

During the test it shows the dsl is down, over and over again.



I'm ready to toss it too
