Dual Audio

I am running an intrgrated Radeon HD 3200 with a dual monitor setup. I am using the HDMI output for a television and surround sound, and the VGA output for my monitor. The issue is when I plug in the HDMI to the computer it overrides all other sound output (to my PC speakers).

So I have 4 questions.

1. If I were to run a crossfire setup where both cards had HDMI outputs would both monitors have audio?

2. Will this board support SLI?

3. Would SLI fix the clipping when I play a Blu-Ray through the HDMI?

4. If not does anyone have any suggestions about fixing this.

1. I'm pretty sure the "primary" card would have the audio. The secondary card is more-less a dead card. Don't quote me on this, this is just what I found form researching the topic :o I actually mostly hear you can't even use dual monitors while in SLI/Crossfire. I thought that's how it used to be, but also thought I heard you could now...

2. No (and not crossfire either...they are not interchangeable terms)

3. What exactly do you mean by clipping?

By the looks of your motherboard, you cannot run SLI. You need two video card slots. And SLI refers to NVidia cards, Crossfire refers to ATi cards.

Check your sound driver control panel and see if there are any options to have both the HDMI and the speakers output sound. What you are basically replicating is the situation where you have speakers connected to the back of the computer, and when you plug in headphones in the front, the speakers don't play. The sound driver is defaulted to only play through one output. It's just in this case, your HDMI output is your primary audio output, and you speakers are your secondary output, which is why they don't play at the same time.

I would also dust out that CPU heatsink :P
