Dual Boot OS: Vista 64 and XP 32 Home

I recently built a new PC with Vista64. After weeks of frustration trying to get older programs to work, I've decided to install WinXP. I decided to go with a separate HDD for XP. My question is: will programs I already installed in Vista be available if I boot up in XP mode?

Any other thoughts/tips would be appreciated! Thanks.

You can run them from the HDD with them on.

If you dual boot you pick the OS to run from and then you can see the drive with the OS you have picked aswell as the other drive and all of the files on it. You can set a shortcut then in you start menu or on your desktop or whatever and access it all through there.

Be careful though because if the copy of XP is only 32 then the programs may not work because your vista is 64 bit, also there could be driver issues even if your XP is 64 bit, because XP 64 bit has the $h1test driver support on the planet, the 64 bit version really was dire.

I have no problems with xp pro x64, The only real problem to xp pro x64 is hardware that is out dated and will not have the drivers, because companies that made it will not update the software. They rather you buy new hardware.
