I currently have a 320GB hard drive with xp on it and wanna get vista but i still wanna use xp. So if i get another 320gb hard drive and install vista on it then when the computer boots it will ask me to pick which one i want to use correct? Then since each of the operating systems are installed on there own hard drive it would be just like having two computers one with xp and one with vista correct? You would have to install the programs into each operating system right?

Ok thanks. If i get vista should i get the 32 or 64 bit version? Is there much of a difference? Also should i just get the home basic or get one of the other versions?

Yes that will work, or you can partition your current hard drive.

I wouldnt get anything less then Home Premium, and yes get the 64 bit version.

I'd go with the 32-bit version and Home Premium. Better value than the expensive Ultimate and it has aero and all the other pointless junk that comes with Vista.
