What's the benefit of having 2 videocard attached to your pc? What difference does it make?
 
you can save money, too

you can link less expensive cards to match the performance of the top of the line stuff

it's nothing new, either, there were SLI 3dfx boards, and now that nvidia owns 3dfx, SLI nvidia boards :)

there's even some 3rd party boards that are actually 2 cards linked, so it's effectively a SLI board for non-sly mobo's

Sometimes it works, like two 7600GT's can outperform a 7900GT, but IMO I would go with the higher end card because it allows for a performance increase in every game.
