Dual chanelel

I gotten a little confussed, can someone please just clarifiy this.

Will any RAM work on dual chanell as long as its exactly the same ram?[And of corse you have a dual channel cpu and mobo and all]

I have a 1GB DDR33 stick, and a 512MB DDR400 stick, I want to get another 1GB DDR333 PC 2700 c lat 2.0 stick and take out my 512mb stick and put it in my alt PC, but i want to make sure that it will work in dual chanelle later on when i get my next cpu. Thanks. Its the exact same model and brand and everything its

yes any ram will work in dual channel. it doesnt matter what the cpu is it will stay in dual channel if you switch the cpu. but if the motherboard doesnt support dual channel then you cant run dual channel.

well basicly It's just when i get a socket 939 board, right now im on 754.
