dual channel memory...dont understand

and wodering about the dual channel ddr, if i get 2 sets of this ran will only one set be dual channel or will both be??

You need sets of equal size. For example you could use 2x1 GB and 2X 512 MB in dual channel. You can't, however, use 3 sticks - 2x 1 GB and 1x 512 MB would not work in dual channel. The memory speed also drops to the lowest of the sticks.

yes, or you could buy 2 non 'dual channel kit' sticks of ram that are the same size and it will work in dual channel
