Dual channel unbuffered OCZ ram question?!

I have 2 gigs of OCZ performance unbuffered RAM. I put them in slots one and 2 but the computer is freezing and what not. Since they are dual channel do I need to put them in slots one and three? Because when I took the RAM out of slot 2, it stopped freezing and the computer worked fine.
So my next guess is that I need one gig in slot one and another gig in slot 3, am I correct?

Thanks

Slots 1 and 3 should be dual channel mode.

Also, there is the possibility that whichever stick you took out to stop it from freezing, might be badRAM. Run a few memory tests, or just run that stick alone for a while to see if it freezes.
