Pck21 New Member May 9, 2006 #1 I have 2 sticks of Ultra 512mb ram and I was wondering if I could put in 2 overclocked OCZ sticks of 512mb in the other remaining two slots to make it 2 gigs of ram. Can these work side by side or am I wasting my time?

Geoff VIP Member May 9, 2006 #3 The ram wouldnt be overclocked when you put them in a new computer. They should work, but the performance may suffer slightly.

So if I were to buy 2x512mb sticks of something like the OCZ gold edition or platinum or whatever it would work? Should I just stick to what I have now and not risk it instead?
