I ingous New Member Dec 9, 2006 #5 That is a good question.....have to look. I assume, since you are asking that it matters if you use one or the other? When I purchased the last stick I only paid attention to that they would all be the same voltage and frequency.

I ingous New Member Dec 9, 2006 #7 Huh.....you learn something new every day. I have to admit that (obviously) I did't know that single vs. double sided matters. Thanks!!

I ingous New Member Dec 9, 2006 #8 I just checked and I found out that I have 3 double sided sticks and my new one is a single sided one. How much performance to I loose (raughly) if I run Single Channel vs. Double Channel with 2GB?

Cromewell Administrator Staff member Dec 9, 2006 #9 You lose roughly 50% of your RAM bandwidth (6.4GB/s max for dual vs 3.2 max for single). How much actual performance depends on what you do. If it's still an option exchange the single sided for a double.
