what is the difference between dual channel & single channel? do they perform dif? or does it not make a diff? i want to keep RAM slots open for later uprgrading
dual channel doubles(ish) the memory systems bandwidth. ie. PC3200 single channel is ~3.2GB/s, dual channel is ~6.4GB/s. It's not a real big boost, and you will probably only ever notice it in benchmarking
you could of scroll down a little bit to find a thread with the same name where this was already explained if you look there praetor gave a fairly detail explanation.
