Dual Channel?

To set up dual channel DDR memory, do I only need two DDR sticks of the same brand and clock speed, and a motherboard supporting dual channel, or I have to buy special dual channel DDR sticks?

they usually don't need to be the same brand, same speed, timings and size should be enough
